Vag Com 908 without Can Bus!!! help me!!!!

Hello.
I bought from China vag com 908 for my Seat Leon EDC16 2008, unfortunately I can only use the form on the Engine (Module 1), while others do not! when I do the tests tell me "CAN: Not Ready", how can I do? Help me

Autoscan makes the program (vag-com/vcds) look for installed controllers in the specific car.Phen opening the program from your short cut on the desktop you should be able to see a button on the main screen just saying "autoscan". Push this one.

"Can not raedy" will usually come up when the car doesn't use this protocol, use the "test" function from options, in the main screen as well. What protocol is shown when you enter in engines? 2008 should be can, but.... where do you live'

I have seen this many times before. Vehicle uses Can, but the engine (and the automatic gearbox if present) also has the K-line still connected for EOBD communications.
You need to buy a new cable WITH Can this time.

Thank you all for your help. I'll try to do the autoscan. I live in Italy and the car should be Can-Bus, but also the cable, since it is the 908. if not can the car should not ready the same?

With the cars that use K-line to diagnose (more info's here:On-board diagnostics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On-board_diagnostics) and here:Vehicle bus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_bus)), for exemple Golf MK4, you can do changes like idle speed, egr duty cycle, fuel injected quantity, reset service interval, read/clear fault codes.If your cable don't have Can (I think is a KKL interface), you can do all this thing for the VAG vehicles up to 2005 year, as i know.If I'm wrong, somebody correct me.

If you are an Engineer than how come you could not figure out how to use Auto-Scan option ?

Now for your information when you test the Vag-com cable on an vehicle which is NOT using Can System it will always tell you Can NOT Ready.

So the best thing is to do Auto-Scan and see if it will connect with which module.

You need to buy a NEW cable WITH Can.

Or if you are in a hurry take the car to someone with the right cable like the dealer.

If test shows firmware version of cable then this cable is with CAN.. KKL interfaces do not have any processor (atmega162) so, no firmware present in test window.. maybe some pins are shorted inside maybe atmega fuses are wrong(not many chances but possible) CAN transiever chip can be dead or smth.. :)
