Hi
What dose it happen when you try to start can you hear any clicking nose from the starter.
What have you checked so far ?
Battery, Wire connections from Battery to Starter, From battery to Engine and Body.
Specially check the earth wire which is fitted to Gearbox bell housing which comes from Battery they normally do brake and cause this kind of faults.
Lastly but not the list Starter and the Starter Relay.
Hope this helps.

starter motor or switch on back of ignition lock, pull the small wire off the starter motor solenoid and see if you are getting volts there, if you are starter is cattle trucked if not check the switch they are made of plastic and they wear out in the center when the pin goes in

HI
SEEM TO THINK ON THESE GULFS, TO
REMOVE THE COWLING YOU NEED
A SUPER LONG THIN PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER.
REMOVING THE AIRBAG/STEERING WHEEL HELPS, THE AIR BAG IS JUST CLIPPED ON.
FIND THE ASS COCKING RED/BLACK AND PROBE WHILST SOMEBODY CRANK, LONG TIME.
ALSO WORTH HUMP LEADS FROM ANOTHER CAR, INCASE BATTERY.
THE LAST TIME WE GOT A SWITCH FROM GSP - GERMAN SWEDISH AND POLISH IT WAS LIKE 15 SODS + VAT.

If the starters stuck try getting a friend to hold it to the crank position then giving it a wollop with a hammer. Sometimes gets a sticky one to start working so you know its the fault. Works on alts too.

a starter needs volts and earth to turn. if you have ignition switched live to small wire on starter you still need a good earth to engine and permanent live to solenoid from batt. as said check earth to gearbox. and main live. it wouldnt do any harm to remove these and clean with a wire brush on a drill. DISCONECT BATTERY FIRST also if a car has a bad engine earth the starter can try to use smaller earths such as ecus etc and this is bad. dont get me wrong the starter may well be faulty but cleaning contacts is good working practice even when fitting a new starter so the job needs doing anyway, regards steve
