Bmw 530D E39 DDE4

Hello
Can someone tell me how to connect up galletto to this bosch dde 4 engine ecu, I think that it has to be done on the bench because this vehicle only has a round connector under the bonnet. I need to read data and load this into another ecu which has corrupt data.
Can you tell me a better way if possible.

In my opinion ,best way is to read and write with Eeprom progammer

i have done these before and the E46 320d etc. no problem.
if it id,s the ecu then read and write as normal, no worries. :)

Is Galletto for diesels only?

I am not an expert on these but there are petrol listings on mine.

I did as stated and read the software on a secondhand engine ecu using the bmw 20 pin round plug on the vehicle and wrote to the original engine ecu through the 20 pin connector on the vehicle the vehicle now is running.
Hope this helps someone else.

Hi,
To do that you need just galleto and bmw OBD to 20 pin converter 10$.
I do it and works great but just on DDE3 and DDE4.

Have also read one of these with galletto via diagnostic plug, cant confirm write though lol
