MVP & Smartkey wont programme avensis why?

why is it that any time i try to code a toyota key with mvp or smartkey maker the abs light flashes and it does not communicate...the latest car i tried is a 2002 avensis d4d diesel and i am located in ireland.... will these tools do euro toyota's? or do i need to swap pins in the obd socket??:banghead:

I think smart key maker is for 4d, and a 2002 avensis is a 4c (I think), not played with too many toyota's though :)

Know what u say...smartkey programmer is for 4d cars and how do u exoext it to work on a 4c car. This toool is excelkent for its price
