2002 focus 1.4 16v , visteon EEC-V , 1M5F-12A650-AC ecu . misfiring on cylinders 1 & 4 . anyone repaired one of these before ??

is possible , better if you can replace ecu ...

would like to repair this one if possible , its probably a driver chip or something . anyone got a solution ??

yes , driverchip , but you will find only onto other good ecm ..

First of all. Is there ignition puls on those cylinders? If answer is - yes, next step is ignition coil, spark plugs, compression etc.
If answer is - no ......next step is wiring checks between ignition coil and ECU. If They are good - only then Your answer is right.....
I have seen a lot of filed ECU's with this fault....

hello people. Although failing nozzles 1 and 4, I change the coil drivers and always solves ...

if it is waste spark I would suspect a faulty coil. I have never seen a 1.4 in the US only 2.0 and 2.3 in the focus over here. Otherwise I would check injector signal to the respective cylinders. Hope this helps.

i've repaired one,change driver coil,i put another from a renault ecu,still works...

im almost certain its the ECU is at fault here , i have seen this many times before, just never persued a fix .
yes , i do think 71016SB replacement is required along with both 5401DM drivers .

i have replaced loads of faulty coils on fiesta and focus models
and sometimes leads and plugs also,check under inlet manifold as a T piece breather hose collapses and splits and may give a miss also.

if is ecu fault then is recommended to change also ignition coil.
