am wanting to turn off immobilizer on golf year 2000 ahw engine have vagcom my query is can i do it with vag com and can some one give procedure as to do it ,thanks

hi thanks for replies ,fault is intermitant key recognition .car will start ,then wont .immo light flashes when programmed new chip car seemed fine for bout hour then same prob .ill have to rescan with exact fault code as guy took car for tonight .

check the connections of the key reader down at the bottom of the column. pretty common issue, just clean them & tighten them, they tend to pull loose after moving comun up & down
