2000 VW Beetle SRS

Hi Guys,

Anyone know if it is possible to recode s/w with ross-tech (VAG-COM) on a used module... I've been trying with many modules and it never changes the value.. just goes back to the previous screen when you press "DO IT"

I have the proper used module for the car:
1C0 909 605 A (but the wrong s/w coding). Currently it has 27 12855, but I need 2F 12870.

Unless anyone has a dump with this s/w coding.

i programmed a different module into an audi tt last week using vcds which is vag -coms name now but had to go into its configurations on several occasions to change different things ,i changed the workshop coding and sw coding to the original numbers from the old one as well it took a while to do but it all went in the end

VCDS tells me the module has been coded with WSC 31414... that's the one I try.. I also tried many others to no avail.

any ideas for what I should input for WSC, VZ/Importer and Equipment number?

You can't change software coding in this type of SRS units. Coding can be set once, when module is new/virgin. After that only a proper dump will help.

Sadly, I don't have dump with coding you need...
