yes, it has to be done with the Fiat Examiner tool, maybe some other high-end testers can do it too.

Looks like the next release of FiatECUScan will be able to do CAN proxy alignment with an ELM interface.

I made some time ago something like this. For stoping the flashing I edited the VIN number in the new instrument cluster.
Please post both dumps from 912 from your instrument clusters.

Hello

I did not changed the instrument cluster.
I only changed the engine ecu, it was faulty.
Commen problem like misfire, only running on 3 cylinders.

for changing the engine ecu for a new one you won't need a proxy procedure.
A used ecu can't be used without making it virgin first, after that it won't need a proxy procedure either.

What is flashing on the instrument cluster?

Odometer or the engine fault warning lamp?

Hello

Thanks guys for the responces.
After the orginal ecu broke down.

I bought a second hand set of locks with keys incl the immo box and fusebox.

Thats why i need to do a proxy allingment, i think.

Because when i did the swap, the odometer started with flashing, erverything is working correctly only the flashing of the display section is flashing.

Thanks in advance

So you didn't change the cluster but is the same thing: the Body Computer and the instrument cluster has different coding.
So you need to perform the proxi alignment.
If you have Examiner, you can do it without problems.
If you enter into the specific car/model ECU test, there are the list of ECU-s, and there is "Proxi alignment procedure". Select it, and afterwards everything is self explanatory.
