when i download the kryptview loader program i can not open it on my desk top help

You need to download and install winrar to open it.

thanks pad157 but now when i try to download to cable box i get message "the downloading is not requested"

Have you selected the correct COM port?

If youve already had firmware on the box, you can UPDATE the firmware through the menu system.

yes m8 read the lot. tryed turning on and off still get "download not requested"

This is a common problem with this box. How are you connecting box to pc.
Check:
Check you have correct port is selected
Are you using a null modem cable and not a seriel female to feamale cable.
When hitting download button, switch box off then on.
