2004 w211 with SRS flashing but no faults

I have been out to a W211 to diagnose the SRS post crash and correct any faults.
The controller and other parts have been replaced and the remaining faults were corrected.
With MB Star there are no fault codes (present or stored), no stored events and all the live data is correct.
The new controller was coded to the car before I was invited to join the party, but VIN is correct as is the drive side selection and emergency call option.

With ignition only the SRS light is on solid and when the engine is started it starts to flash.

Does anyone have an idea that doesn't involve a crusher or matches?

I would imagine you have a codeing error. POssibly the vehicle thinks it has more air bags than it actually has, try scanning the other ecu's also, some cars log codes elswhere

the only coding option that can be reconfigured after initialising the new module is the emergency call function. The VIN and right or left hand drive cannot be overwritten.
The live data on all connected airbags is a tick on ALL tests.
I thought that the flashing may be due to a CAN config error but there is no code stored.

the only other thing i can think of is try scanning it with another scanner incase it is a scanner issue.
and as I said, try scanning all the other ecu's in the vehicle

Probably the seat needs calibration, you have to go into WSS with the star diagnosis read codes and calibrate seat if necessary.

It means your SRS module is not activated (locked) yet
It could be done easy in developer mode
Locked in German = verriegelen

or your airbag controller is turned in ,,service mode''... i have this option on hella gutmann and i use it when i work at body. the airbag light is flashing when it's activated.
