ok, im having problems with my laser in my 360, i have to bang my xbox to read the game, and its starting to ache my knuckles, i am currently playing f1 2010 best game ever IMO, anyway when i race i get 2 red lights, i believe this is overheating, but its not hot at all, theres a draft to the xbox which keeps it cool, and both fans in the 360 are working, and whenever i turn it back on it says open tray when theres a game in, i think its a weak laser but i dont understand why its saying its overheating if its the laser?:hmmmm2: help is needed alot, thanks in advance :) :wavey:

Check the resistance of your laser and adjust - just done mine and couldnt believe how easy it was - really it took about 10 minutes start to finish

open it up, clean it out,
remove the heat sinks and old thermal paste,
if you don't have thermal paste removing fluid, a bit of wd-40 on a cotton bud works ok, but clean it off after with isopropyl alcohol.
replace thermal paste with a good quality one, like arctic silver or akasa ak-450 rebuild it and it should stop overheating.
if it doesn't, get new fans for it and make sure the wind tunnel isn't broken

Its certailny a good start, there are plenty of tuts on how to do it, i did the one where you put washers on the X plates on the underside of the board, mine had 3 red lights - been fine since. Go Google it!!!!
