I picked up a consult 3 but only the grey vci unit I was on spx site but dont quite understand what I need to make it work. Can I plug it straight in to the usb with out any card or do I need a security card A OR B? Also the software does it include calibration files or are they downloaded off assist? On ebay the clones come with a special obd2 to 14 obd pin converter cable do they work with real consult3. Thanks for any help

I have now buy oem consult 3 what i know : for programming/reprogramming you need card B , for immo card A. I think calibration files is on the cd, i check it and write later.

Look in ini file and search for touchbook=1 make touchbook=0 and works.

Before you install ver9.18 look at the setup ini file if you don't see the line Toughbook=1 or 0 use this ini as a guide to where you edit the ini file with Toughbook = 0 Read thru this

download and try to install nissan consult 3 v9.18.
It keep saying that "the installation detected the computer is not a Panasonic ToughBook. The installation will exit"..

I don't think their is a crack look at the ini i posted and change the 0 to a 1 next to the line for Toughbook. cause i had to add that like to make it install on a Dell 620

Finnally I found the website has the crack nissan consult 3 w/Ver.9.21.01.
I have been install on my cf-18 and worked w/ chines clone ver.9.09 w/ little config. on the regedit.

Did you register the VI serial number in the software?

I have a chines Ver.09.09.01.00.00.
When I install new version 09.21.01, VI unit was not recongnized. I try to put a consult 3 patch in it and saying verify that version is 09.09.01.00.00 on the screen. So I went into "REGDEIT"
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
"JCI"
"NISSAN"
"3.00"
I saw the OriginalVersion 09.21.01.00.00
Only thing is reconfig on the originalversion to 09.09.01.00.00.
And reinstall consult 3 patch file.
After It recongnized the Vi Unit. Reconfig to the .09.21.01.00.00 on the REGEDIT.
Should ready to go.

ok, go it working guys! thank you for the help.... Now im having a problem with one of the cars im working on, it is a 2010 Infinity G37, im changing the BCM, but i cannot find an option in the software to reprogram it to the car, its a brand new BCM from the dealer, maybe somebody here knows how to do this? thank you!

Is it a Real Programming card or a Chinese one? I have a type B card and their is a driver you need to dowmload from Nissan for Consult 3 to see the card?

I got it from friend who use to work at nissan dealership and It's rectangler shape and says consult-III , card adapter nissan (PCXMC-ADP D2B0003112AF) and inside has sd card it it (nissan consult-III Immobilizer & reprogramming). I believe it is a security card A.....

You need to install the card reader driver, you can download at www.nissantechinfo.com

Finnally made it to working. There was two diff. type of the card(1. credit card type and 2.sd card type) on the sd type , had to install smartcard driver then install
xmcdriver. After installation. I check consult 3 program and it was initialized as security card 1.0.0.0
And version display there is reprogramming data "" unable to obtain REPROG Data Version." Does any one knows to set this up?...............

Hi M8 , in order to do hybrids u must update to 09.21.02.00.01 versin. Consult 4 is only for diagnostics, no reprograming, & also does renault cars. Hope that helps.

Did you get this program to work. Im working on a 2008 versa, swapped ecm & bcm annd want to reprogram. Where did you get your cable & software?
