Granted update period has exceeded.
For users with a genuine C3,this small tutorial works on a genuine C3.

1)First of all , look at the registry and the date.
* Registry can only have Compact3
*Date has to be correct

2)Remove setup.err on the C:\ drive

3)Rename the folders USERDATA and Dasuinst to ex Userdata1 and Dasuinst1

4)Goto E:\service\setup and delete wl.txt

5)Search on the C drive for wl.txt , most probably it will be in C:\documents and settings\star\local settings\temp ...
and delete it

6)Start the installation from the disc untill you see the message " Would you like to printout the instructions "
*At that point , the file wl.txt is copied again to the temp folder in C:\documents and settings\star\local settings\temp
*Rename the file to whataver you like.
*If your system reboots, repeat the procedure 5 and 6

7)Carry on the installation.

Carloss i would like to think that your intentions are sincere, but i find difficult to believe that you have decided post useful information so that it helps others now.The problem is, that the image of those who reside accross tthe road has been damaged and nothing you can do now can repair that image. You cannot sell things to people who do not like you or feel that they have been betrayed for years regardless of how much they need it.If you are going to post usefull information why don't you post them DAS passwords or how to fix some of the cal errors they have been asking for, instead you post a solution to some obsecure error message that i don't believe i have ever seen anybody post about. How about telling them how to run das without any key at all or the fact the timeout fix that you guys were selling was never really needed. The MOB mentally you guys have adopted has come back at to bite you.

So for me, this is all an act unless you provide genuine solutions to genuine problems i cannot see your generosity here as a sign of remorse other than a sinister plan for the next event to take place

Be quite you ungrateful twat.
I had this error this weekend, yes it is unusal, but the info is invaluable.
If it is no good to you Impy boy, who cares, print it out and use it as toilet paper.
Thats what I do with your bitter posts binary boy.
But if anyone has this error, you will be very pleased to find this solution, as your compact3 will be totally useless without it.
Remeber, if you use the solution dont forget to clcik the KMA button :)

Thats what you are know for Carloss insults not solutions
If they own a C3 and they have not seen this error yet it shows how insignificant it is.All you possie can come now & thank you with there propaganda to show that it has helped them. You better make the most of your DAS code selling your days are numbered.
