help need to reprogram CAT 2KS to 2WS

what is required to reprogram C12 ecm egine serial 2KS to 3406E 2WS engine serial.

What flash file would be needed

I tried to reflash the 70 pin c-12 to 3406e or c-15 software and couldn't get cat et to let flash continue i did get it to accept a industrial flash file for 3456 adem ecm but after flash was completed sucessfuly et service tool would not comunicate with the ecm later i found foot note with cat et version 3.2 that on adem ecm's once ecm is initially flashed to a specific engine family it can not be flashed to another and if so ecm could freeze and no longer communicate be careful when re-flashing you could lockup the ecm with wrong software someone said something about a wash flash file that blanks out the ecm like new that may work
