how do I find out everything if I have an off immobilizer. I have a VW.

Easy,
make one mechanical copy of key and after start the engine. If engine running you don't have the immobilizer.

can also be placing the key in foil
just make a hole to move the paddle.

anthing after early 90s will have an immo..........most vw also have an immo light that goes out when the car starts, but year & what kinda of vw would be a good start

I have an Lupo from 2001 :). But to make a key for test it, is to expensive.
Must do the key in aluminum foil?

wrap the key head in foil paper , if you have an immo , it wont start .

No need to do this. Lupo has Immobox Valeo. Chip inside is 24C04

Based on your Engine Capacity, If it's Gasoline:

1000 CC, Bosch ME7.x Ecu
1400 8V, Bosch ME7.x Ecu
1400 16V - MM IAW4AV Ecu
1600 16V - Siemens Simos Ecu - Immo III System

If Diesel, Then your Ecu is made by Bosch, EDC15

Not so, I have a Volvo 850 GLT 1997 and it has no immo ...

This is my work :)

Mainly i work with VAG Cars, and all VAG starting from 1995 are coming with Immo

Thank you all for the help. Okay thank you umoussa for the suppl. Which Interface i need for work with software for my ECU. It does not matter? For example a programm as "SCP - Data Explorer Manager". :)

vagcom is pretty good with vw stuff, but you will need the skc code to do anything. there are various packages to get the skc if you dont have it, but something like vagtacho for aroun 30 bucks will normallly do the job
