Hi folks,
Here is a small solution how to access the "Correction programming" menu of the ETC control module in C-Class W204 in DAS. I found out that DAS uses .cnt files as configuration files for the menus it displays. In these .cnt files it is described what action to take if the password is correct. I have changed this .cnt file to help DAS always take the correct path ;) . I tested this and it works even if I don't enter anything for the password. The only time it does not work is if I enter a correct password, hehe.
In order to use it you must change the file "codier.cnt" in the location, which is specified in the text file. Please, note that this file may be different for the different versions of DAS - I have included the original file also so that you can see what is the difference.
I am pretty sure a similar solution will work for the other units - Airbag, Air conditioner, etc. I will try to find a solution for them as well when I find some more time. If anyone is interested I'll be happy to work together to achieve this.

The thing i find interesting with w204 passwords is that people seem to come up with only this model for a solution.A correct DAS key should not produce passwords on the w204 model on most of the special function screens.Without using the mod, i do not get a password screen for the transmission. So for those who have a password screen for w204 and was given a das key by a member on this forum look back to see who it was & you will see a pattern emerging. At the beginning i got suckered into this trap until i realised what was going on.I suggest for those people make another request so that some of those w204 passwords don't appear if you dont want to use the mod.
As for the mod itself there are a hell of alot of cnt files you will be altering to bypass passwords. The fact that this particular one was used when the other file names are not difficult to work out would mean that it only works on w204

Yes, all that you have written is true.
For some reason all the generators I have seen don't support the license for using W204 without a password. Modifying the cnt files is not the best solution. So, I am going to request a new key for my DAS installations (all 4 of them ;) ).
Cheers!

I believe that they can all be removed by the key, but my solution will consist of replacing the exe file which has the password screen removed. All the special function screens (accept for the transmission) are done by the same routine. So by removing one they all get removed.

hi,
i have tried somethink like this. a little time ago.
i have changed the .cnt file to activate the dvd and tv while driving for the 221 and 204 models.
at the end i give up, i had changed a lot of things but wont work.
i found files to change, so it worked in das sim. but if i change the same in the file for das(real) the program executes because in dasrs232.exe there is a checksum.
maybe there is some one who knows how to bypass this checksum.
greetings.:wavey:

I don't think there is a checksum, because for my cnt it worked. If you wish you can attach your modified files and some of the clever people here may find a solution.

in the beginning i changed the .cnt file
but this has no result, so i start searching and find .sim files.
these contains the text that appear in the das menus. (these text menus where picked up by the .cnt file) you can change these .sim files and in das the text in the menus changed . but if you change the file for dasrs232(real)
das hangs and execute because there is a checksum.
these last file i changed was a .cbf file.
:hmmmm2:
you are right about the .cnt file
can change without problems.

From DAS Version 7.2010 and ABOVE, Daimler she Unlocked W204 Diagnose via DAS and you did not need any Special file!!! ;)
EVEN if you still watching the Warning about this... :)
The protection about W204 in DAS, was existed for to "Learning" the Dealers the Xentry S/W... ;)

But did you try an 07/2010 version or a later one? I can remember the password query but when I tried my current version (in simulation mode), I had trouble finding a password query anywhere. Which control units would have the password protected special functions menu?

hi!
Try this file to access the "Correction programming" menu of the ETC control module in C-Class W204 and in E-Class W211 in DAS
without pass
I tested this and it works for me
test please
this (codier.cnt) file is modified
(codier_or.cnt) - original
compare them to see the difference
!!!!Do not forget to keep your fail to change!!!!

Thanks but as of 05/2010 correction programming doesn't need any password. But we still thanks for your great effort!

This was my original intention - whenever someone needs to enter a password and finds how to modify the cnt file - just to post the solution here, so that everyone can benefit.
I found that these passwords work in Simulation mode too. In fact I tried to fix some files to unlock the adaptations for Airbag in W164 ML, but so far I have no success.

I compare your file with the one from dragomirg, it's almost the same except one line:
4738 6 0 1 1 i_stringlen == I:0 EXPR
So I assume your file is repairing the dragomirg one.
