Hello

I have an X5 e53 with electronic transfer case

the problem is that the car cannot work with the transfer case connected because from 10km/h begin to tremble and the front differential busted

ok

changed the differential

changed the Actuator motor from the transfer case (after change the necessary calibrations performed with DIS)

transfer case oil chance (with calibration) performed

classification resistor changed (calibration performed)

control unit transfer box changed (adaptation performed)

even steering angle sensor was changed (steering angle adaptation performed)

transfer box opened and check for damage, everything is OK the one that was on car when the front differential get busted

all part taken from a working car

all wheels are the same dimension meaning that all have 17", rear not bigger than front

off course there is no error in any module: transfer case, gear box DSC or steering angle

has i mentioned the car cannot reach the 10km/h because the car begin to tremble

is like the front but just the front wheels are braked when you try to get speed

DSC control unit disconnected the same behavior

Now i elevate the car ant start with comprehensive diag and found that the front wheels are spinning with 9km/h and the rear with 10km/h http://ecubb.bmwecu.org/board/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

the speed sensors are ok and the same on all wheels (the connector have the same color) has is known there is gray and blue

when the actuator motor is disconnected the car run but only the rear wheels are active

So please let me know your opinion or http://ecubb.bmwecu.org/board/images/smiles/icon_idea.gif

Thank you

Case chains stretch and cause slipping which sounds like an axle is broken and banging. When taken apart it is not really evident that it is stretched. The chains can be purchased farely cheap. Other than that, you got me.

ok

but i replace the transfer case with second hand but just the transfer case

the actuator motor and classification resistor remain from the old transfer case

calibration performed and the same behavior :motz:

Hi.
I have the same problem with my e53 of 2004 and I have disconnected the transfer actuator. Could you solve this fault or at least you know where the problem was?
Thank so much.
