I tried DAS/Xentry 07/2010 too and I got the same error as above when doing real Xentry diagnosis.

DAS is working fine with real diagnosis.

I have not seen any explicit advice for the 07 blacklist fixes or similar. Would someone be able to help a bit?

I'm currently using the Zolookas new tool with a developer key. I tried the Patrian tool but unfortunately I tried it with a DAS car only.

Edited: Seems like my Xentry dies after some time. Even Xentry simulator fails after car model selection. Xentry simulation was working fine just after installation and after changing to developer key but it does not work any more.

My asam3d.ini has Drivers set to "T", when I edit it to "D", I cannot save it with the same name but have to rename it, delete the original and rename the modified file back to asam3d.ini. Should the file be protected like this and how should I edit the "T" away?

I understoodthe general 872 fix is not supposed to fix the 870 error while the "do not mention names" advertises that his 872 fix takes care of 870 too. But the fix is supposed to be dependent on the multiplexer serial number.

Edit. I understand posting serials is not a good idea (perhaps not even allowed), sharing via PM could help figuring out something about this or then we just have to wait for a solution.

I use Taiwan MUX which buy at 2005 and 2006 and it work fine 09/2010 Xentry. However, the MUX which buy from China even produce at 2010. All my China clone mux cannot connect with 09/2010 Xentry.

But all Taiwan MUX producer was closed 2-3 years before, as the China MUX is cheap and make them difficult to sell their item. :(

I've received serial number info from a few members who have this issue and all have the same serial number. Not all Chinese units have the same serial number but I would have assumed all would have been equally on the Xentry black list.

Since we cannot post serial numbers, I'd be interested collecting more info privately to find out which serial numbers work with 09/2010. So far nobody has reported a serial number that works (I was not able to send PM to tkinyan who seemed to have a unit that was not blacklisted).

Run the Caesar test from Star utilities (you may need to use the copy from the WINNT folder or some other place). Caesar test reads the serial number.

Do not post it on the forum, better to leave it for PM.

the programing has changed in xentry to block the multiplexers on the blacklist.
Only one place has the fix for this as far as I am aware, and they cannot be named here

It seems mate you have been given the wrong information. Maybe totaly irrelevant too.

870 is clearly a Blacklist error.

In 2010.09 the blacklist protection is in different files for DAS and Xentry.

That is why you are Ok when diagnosing using DAS and you can not do that in Xentry Diagnose.

Seriously of course it is perfectly fine that you have spent your time on more important issues instead of searching old forum posts but I've mention several times on Xentry 870 related threads that:

DAS diagnosis is fine, both simulation and real work,
Xentry simulation works fine but diagnosis with a real car does not.

I went through one Xentry log file which pretty clearly reported "MUX not allowed". I can find the details if it helps in some way.

Honestly I'm not sure because I cannot remember for sure if I've applied the DAS blacklist fix after installation or not. I guess it could be that both use the blacklist but the fix still works for DAS?

From the past I can remember Xentry working without a fix while DAS did not (with a clone). I could think of MB moving emphasis on blacklisting from DAS to Xentry when it becomes more important for them to protect their tools for the new cars than for old ones (where more "after market" options exist). Sounds odd though if DAS was made open for all serial numbers (I can try DAS with the files after installation at some point).

You have misunderstood something. I do not have a workshop. I'm just curious about these things. I have several older versions installed and I can use those for my own needs.

I should have mentioned this option but when the mux modifications were discussed, I did not see a solution that was commonly agreed. In any case removing and re-soldering and reprogramming circuits is not an ideal solution for everyone.

Anyway I tried to go back to your previous posts and was not able to find anything else then buying a new circuit. Could you add links to the correct messages that you are referring or perhaps repeat it here.

You mux does not seem to be the more common type, I guess it should be easy to locate the correct chip from those that look more like the original mux. Another photo for different multiplexers would not harm.

interface with a PC and power supply circuit.

Try this people,

copy the cal.sli out of the rar file into F:\Programme\Xentry\bin\llist

Rename the original first!

What ever you do make sure you have a cal.sli file in that directory before you run xentry, if you run xentry and you dont it deletes another file then you have a different error 175.

I guess it was already confirmed that the second file works but still tried both with my mux that does not work with the file from the Xentry DVD (I tried 09/2010).

The first file from this thread did not work but the second one did work fine also with my multiplexer.

Thats correct, the sellers cant use the old Das sli editor on it they have changed the format.

Edit this line with notepad and save the new file keeping the same extension ".ini" :
Instead of "SLAVE=PARTT2" edit to "SLAVE=PARTD2"
And make sure your Star system is using COM2 port for communication.

I have not had problems with the original setting "T2" with my multiplexer although I don't use it often with HHT and have tried it with a limited number of HHT cars only.

i tried to do the up date for 1 2011 again and i made the date for the star is 17/2/2011
but after installing the CD
the xentry didn't installed and the App-ID 250
so that i can't save the license for that

Sounds like you did not save your Xentry licence correctly after all.

Try this people,

copy the cal.sli out of the rar file into F:\Programme\Xentry\bin\llist

Rename the original first!

What ever you do make sure you have a cal.sli file in that directory before you run xentry, if you run xentry and you dont it deletes another file then you have a different error 175.

Let me ask you guys one basic simple question.

These interfaces that get this so called 870 Blacklist error in Xentry for 9.2010, Did the error occur for DAS aswell & a fix was applied or did DAS work without any file mods/fixes applied
