Having the original KV A750, i've just got myself the blank iconnector without the router dongle as i can connect the box straight to the router...
Firstly can someone post a link to the Firmware required for the A750 to work with the iConnector? (Can't seem to find it on this forum)
Secondly is there anything else I need to know with this setup?
Thanks

You need to use the FW
http://www.4shared.com/file/LSyDlfzn/Kryptview_A750_09092010.html
I thought I updated it on one of the stickies, if not I will do so now.

Using the FW link above, follow these steps:
Please be advised that if you upgrade your A750 with the latest firmware, make sure your IConnect is powered OFF when doing the new channel scan.
Only reconnect it and power it back up again once you have a TV signal displayed on the TV (Usually channel 0000).
Once you power up the IConnect, it should take over the A750 and download a major update from the internet. This is normal and should be allowed to proceed (display shows on both the TV and the A750). Once the A750 display shows the word SUCC it is complete and you may now use your IConnect in the manner in which it was designed.
If you get the above wrong, the IConnect will sit there and only display 2 green LED's (power and connection). If this is the case, re-read the above and you have to start from the beginning (re-flash)

Yes it works but the latest FW once flashed correctly has quite a few updates and a new menu item that has yet to be implemented.
The updates are improvements in relation to responsiveness, (without going into details) of the STB as well as the remote.
Suffice to say if it aint broke don't fix it can also apply in regards to using older FW, but the latest is always advised.

How many LEDs showing on the IConn? You may power on and off if you like either way.

did you get a list of channels when scanning, and are you using correct net id
akhlaq768
20th October, 2010, 09:33 AM
Yes I got all the list of channels when scanning and can select them but they still scrambled, but that’s understandable as the I-connector isn't working, the net id for Birmingham im using is 41011

sounds as if not connected to the net,is your lan cable correct
as i have heard some dont, can you try in a different location, remember to reboot router and box by powering off at back for a short while then on.
akhlaq768
20th October, 2010, 09:55 PM
i have tried a different lan cable and still no luck. afte re scanning the box it is fine, and once i power up the i connecter my front display of the box immediately comes up with a fail message. this keeps flashing up every 2 seconds or so. this is the point in which i am stuck as the a750 is not doing the major update that it should.

Looking at the rest of the thread it looks like its updated itself when first used as you mentioned Succ.
First make sure your terestrial channels are working: BBC1, 2, ITV, C4 & Five.
With all devices powedred on and the box on Sky Sports 1 start with the Modem by powering it off for 10 secs then back on, wait till lights are stable then do the same with the router, then the Iconnector, then the box.

All terestrial channels are working perfectly.
will power down all devices and power up... will keep you updated

Dont power them down all at once. Leave all on and do one at a time.

I'll do them in the following order
KV ON (SkySports1)
Iconnector OFF
Router OFF
Modem OFF
Modem ON (leave until all lights are on)
Router ON
I-connector ON

No, All on. Modem off and on, wait till lights are steady. Then router off and on, wait till lights are steady, then Iconnector, then box. The idea is to get everything to sort out its own ip in the right order.

That would indicate the fw was released in 2005 which is impossible.
