hi guys anyone know how to find drives on partitions on hard drive ???

can you explain in more detail what you mean by finding drives on a partition on a drive.

hi m8 thanks for your reply
some where on my hdd there is a backup of all drives and win xp , as my pc came with no disc,s or a backup of xp i need to find them to try do a repair

normally the factory backup is kept on a seperate partition to the c drive. You would have had an instruction manual for it to start with which would explain the recovery procedure. It probably involves pressing one of the function keys and selecting recovery option.. but bear in mind if you do a factory reinstall it will over wright all your existing data on the c drive. back up everything you need first.

If you do a search on the website for you're pc they will have information on the recovery procedure there for you to follow if you no longer have the instruction manual

recovery partitions are usually activated by f11

ive used this before to undo formats. it should give you a list of previous installations and let you recover whichever one you want.
