Hello!

Does anybody know where the problem is on Audi (and VW) dasboard screens, when they start missing segments on them from time to time? At the moment of speaking I have A6, make year '99 with this problem. Thanks in advance!

youll find it is a defect with the actual screen, not cheap to replace, unfortunately not a ribbon problem which is normally the case with missing pixels on screen.
See ebay for prices.

I believe it is a common problem on the led screen itself!

Not sure of the cause, but BBA Reman are aware of the issues.

Yep, I've seen it. I contacted the guy, asked him if he wants to send me the instructions via rapidshare or something. If he agrees, I'll put them here.

When on FIS is just missing segments, no shadows, simple solution is change to conductive tape between driver and screen connection. I don't do it by my self. I send to my friend (Aceef (http://aceef.pl/)) and pay something about 15Euro per one. When you like to tray by you self, on this product catalogue http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/317084.pdf you find conductive tape offer.
