Hello m8

I have a cluster here from a sienna, I took it apart, and it looks like I have to desolder the connections for the display in order to get to the chip ? Is that the easiest and only way to do it ? I have heard there is a way of doing a dashboard with just 2 wires , the dash must be powered .

I think its impossible with just 2 wires.
The chip is 93c46 microwire. This 1 needs 3 wires for programming.
Only I2C 24cxx chips can be programmed with 2 wires incircuit.

I don't have a pic on this one. Which means you don't need one. Take the speedo head out, mounted with screws. Than you will be able to see the EEPROM from underneath. Pin 1 that is all you need. Shorten the crystal too, just in case.
