Hi
Today I try to adjust mileage on Golf 5 dash Visteon part 1K0 920 863 B with DSP3,after reading km value coretly I write new value and then apear on display Erorr instead new km value.Haw can I repair dash?

did you save original fail if yes just putit back if not start locking for god dump.

Car start very well everithing is ok except mileage value is not on display.Underneath I post dumps before and after writing.

i think it' due to a bad checksum calculation

Hi mate had same problem put original dump in refit to car turn on ignition see mileage take back out and do it with a different mileage from the one you have tried it should work if you do this it did for me hope this helps cheers

When I disconect the batery dash show new value after that apears Erorr.

I dont try to put back original dump before figure out what is happenend.

maybe I am wrong .. but ... I believe your dash have inside 95320 and you have been readed only like 95160 ...
You must open it to check this. If is like that , then you are in trouble.

doesn?t matter , open it and check with your eyes.

Of course you read the mileage correctly, mileage is a very simple calculation on adress 0000. It is all about the checksum, your software edited too much data, you only have to modify 2 checksum instances. The calculation of this cluster is very hard, it seems like your software cannot do it.

Put back original dump if it was well saved...and find a good algoritm for chksum calculation.

As i told you in previous message , open cluster and check what eeprom you have there .
Even if your tool can read the mileage correctly is possible to have there other eeprom.

Why? Dump is 2kb and data goes to 7F7 so chip is 95160.

If 95320 then dump is 4kb and data goes to FFF.

Few minute ago I put a good dump from Smelecom and everithing is Ok now.
