Hi friends,

got a bmw 740i 2010 next week and i don't have enough knowledge how to reduce km on bmw models....
so i hope you guys can help me to understand how stuff work....

first, i have tachouniversal, xprogm v4.5 and m35080 eraser.
now... :

1) can i do this job with this tools and if not, what tools can do? (except enigma, dp3...) .

2) what is the procedure for this job?

Do you know, that if you will destroy CAS in this car, onlly dealler be able to repayr car, and it will cost 1000e+ to you?

or a original tool that has support like Enigma or DP3 (The Tool our friend tachonow likes)

Dear mates,
you have to know that there is a new version of cas4 and it is not like the earlier one that we all know although it has the same board with the same mcu.if you try to read this mau and your programmer (whatever it might be )failed to read it you will have mcu with curropted data and cars will never start again normally.
the secret is inside the new version mcu.

Hi guys I have r270 programer I have only done one new 5 series worked fine bit of a job I have 15 years experience in this job don't try it if you don't know it will break!!!! My addvice is let someone else do it!!!!! It will be cheaper in the long run expect to pay 3-5 hundred ?s

trust me you have made the right decision becuse you would not be able to tell the difference between v1 and v2.
Mr.Rito we all have the pdf that you have and it would work only with cas4 v1 but beleive me do not trust enigma with this new cas4.

They are saying Enigma can do VER1 but not VER2. I'm waiting for verification, Will let you know when I hear back...

since you are not that specialest and you did not try it before so you have 2 chocies:
1.you can take my advice for free and keep away from this issue for a while till we can see how we are going to solve it.
2.you may have balls to find it out yourself and if so all you need is R260(original or clone),enigma,DP3,DSP3,xprog-m v.5 and you will be done.i am sure then that i will be seeing you here on DK crying out for help.
again the choice is yours.

What i can say and what i know is that the orguinal CAS BDM programer can read it, i see it but i don?t can see direktly what thay are make on the cas but he open the CAS and this car whose 2010 BMW 740Li .
And he make new 2010 EZS also.

I now that he is Russian.

i gave you a free advice in order to warn you not to get involved with this new cas and i think this should be much appreciated but all i can see is a new argument about how or what tool MAy do it.
maets i could keep my mouth shut and let every body have problems.I was the first to report this new cas to the big companies which manufacture professional odometer correction tools and i still remember well their very big THANKS

the vehicle is new to the market, there are gonna be teething problems, look on the bright side still under warranty, jst in case you need it.

for ppl with tu and other cheap cloned machines, dnt go anywhere near it. youve been warned,

Hi all, I can assure you all that the Enigma can do both versions of CAS4. You need the very latest CAS4 update, the wire up is the same for both version with just one difference. On version 2 you have to lift up the reset pin and solder the reset wire directly to the leg. Trust me I have done both version and it works fine. If you are faint hearted dont bother because lifting the pin is a job for skilled hands.!!

MCU support for CAS 4 has been added to Enigma, so it will do the above :-)

Enigma can definately save and re-write eeprom I have done it and it works fine.
