I found a file but I never tried and I can not guarantee that it works.

vanos, what is the fault with the car?
If Immob then read on.
Once you have loaded cleared eeprom dump to 93c66 eeprom, you then need to cut pin 13 either in wiring to ecu or internally, this will stop 5as unit recoding ecu.
Then you will need to power up starter motor.
All done.
If you need more help just ask.

i just looked at your pictures, this is rover 25 mems 3 system.
As i described, load free run file to 93c66 eeprom, then cut pin 77 NOT 13, pin 13 is for mems 2.
Then energise starter-job done
Or just program new/used fob with t300 mvp etc.

Get more specific i am not going to try and see what your problem is unless you can specify it like a normal human.
Make me work harder i get lazy and go to sleep.
Be open and be proffesional like a normal human (no Et phone home)

Hello.

Your part is MEMS 3, this file will work but only if the cranking circuit enables engine cranking and no other faults exist!

Check the image for pin to be cut.

1: Does the engine crank?
2: Does the engine fire?
3: Is there a spark?
4: Is there fuel available?
3: Are there any trouble codes?
4: Has the car had coil HT problems "Coil Drivers take a hit on these"

And finaly Is the engine any good? This engine fails big time on head gaskets and rarely come good if they have been cooked :)

All models of this age use 5AS here in the UK, so Im guessing that's what you have? (EWS Won't work!! I have not checked against Pectron but I believe it should work.)

In normal case's we program a new remote,its quicker and cheaper for the customer, decoding is used in cases where component cost -V- vehicle value cross the economical line, or if vehicle is used on track.

Maybe your ECU is faulty.

i am thinking we are missing somtehing simple here .
Find the immobox or what you think is immo box and post photo.
We cannot get this rover to die a death without ori ecu.
It got something to do with immol box type ..
If 5AS they are in centre console hidden somewhere..

Is there anyone that knows where the coil drivers are in ecu?

Hi.

Duff programmers are filling the market, I have a selection of units from a while back, the likes of Willem etc, the reading and writing is flakey.

I would write this file to your chip, then read from chip and save, then compare file to this original in Hex Compare, Hex Workshop, UPA compare or what ever you have.
To many checks is never enough :)

I?ve tested darvin?s solution http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f175/rover-mg-mems3-free-run-immo-off-153942/#post725114 and is working fine ...
If your fuel pomp relay is working for a few seconds and then stop , then ecu is ok.
To start engine , you must make one modification @ start relay...
Solution can have some variants which depends from what alarm unit is fitted onto your car ( lucas or pekton )

Great , so it works on pectron ..
My crashed car was stripped for engine before i can test on pectron.
How do you go on bypassing the relays that are needed in pectron box for fogs , wipers and so on..

fine in 8 bit, just won't write.

Are you writing in 16 bit or 8bit?

it seems like his fault was the willem , Xprog programmer he used.

I had the same problem with Willem programmer and wrote the mems3 freerun file with upa programmer.

I had a previous problem with horn not working, found wire at pektron unit that came from horn button, cut and added standard relay and joined to wire from pektron to horn, simplzz, just wish I wrote down the wire colour/position etc.

purple/black to switch (look at horn) yellow/red

Look for BS-AU7 when looking on net British Standard wiring - WWII era ish - see a wire colour 99% chance you know what it does .

(unless behind dash black/green - if it's not washers it's fuel tank lol)

was only making a point, that when all the other functions go down (horn, fogs, central locking etc etc) the solution may be a simple one, just adding your own relays outside of the scu unit.
