You have to check with the cat dealer or someone who really knows the cat engines to go from 435 to 600 hp your probably going to have to put 6 new injectors in it and possibly change the cam, pistons, crank, head, etc. it could be alot of money buy it may not be getting the flash files is the easy part but you want to make sure the engine you have can handle the power so it doesnt come apart on you post the engine serial number with the arrangement number and i will look on sis and see what the flash files are that they list for that the engine have a good one

If you give me your engine serial # I can look it up and tell what it can be uprated to.

What is your engine ser #? 435 were usally 5EK wich had crank problems. But any way,yes you can slide 550 file into it. Then make some other adjustments and let the smoke roll. Is it 40 pin or 70 pin?

Well, I found that the c-15 goes up to 550hp 1850lbft, I'm not sure for it about going to 600 hp but I made a c-15 run 600 hp 2050 lbft with a c-16 flash, only problem it heats a lot and the boost pressure stands at 35 psi all the time. So I would not recommend putting a c-15 to those specs. :alberteinstein:

I know this is a C15 thread but I have some c13 multi torque engines that I would love to increase the fuel mpg. Does anyone have any ideas. They are 430 multi torque 1550/1750 at 1200. They are cut back in top gear and 9th, idle timers and still only get around 5.2mpg. Not very strong. Also does anyone know what the difference is with the EURO files. If emissions are less strict

Here a easy think to do on Cat to increase HP and fuel economy, put a 100 ohm resistor in the fuel temperature connector. On a C15 or 3406E that will give 25to50 hp on rear wheels. Tested!

Well, the fuel temp resistor does fool the Instrament cluster and QC mpg reading. So beware and do a true at pump measure too. Good idea...

Hey, from my finite knowledge, a 435 can be increased to a 550. But, if you clean the ecu or find a blank it can be increased to or flashed with a 600+ file. Corrections pls...

I have a customer here that uses a 550hp c15 for heavy haul loads. He says it pulls great even up to 200,000 lbs loads. As stated you can only up it to a 600hp if you change you serial number in the ecm to a c16 and reflash it.

It depends on engine serial number if I know serial number and hp rating I can tell you which file to put in that does the best and give you some good fls and fts numbers to match. But you will need password generator to do.

tricks also for the cats, make sure your fuel pressure is above 105lbs, there is an update from cat for the check return valve to increase the pressure. Change your air filters regularly, at least 2 to 3 times a year, even if the gauge says they are ok. Put a fuel cooler at the retun line where it enters the tank, acert injectors dont like hot fuel.
