caterpillar interlock code problem

Hi every body, my problem is to change the interlock code after rerate on a 3126 1wm:hmmmm2:. The old interlock code is 5 and the new one is 307. I use Caterpillar Factory Password Key Generator to do it. I can change fls and fts, reset customer password,modify engine serial number, all need factory password and work but not the F****G interlock code. It's not the first time I rerate a cat and change i-code with this k-gen and it's the first time it not work. Is anyone here experienced this problem in past? Thanks to help me.

try backup previous flash file to ecm

for some reason I can figure out you can not change interlock code from a small number (5) to a higher number (307) even if the cross reference said so. Try to use another flash file which have the the settings you want but within the same date and number of the one you trying to change.

Most factory KG's on the net will not do Interloc Codes above 256 due to the Algo they use. Only one i know that does it

You can contact creator, he claims it work on high interlocks and negative fls/fts on old and newest versions.

maybe because the injectors used in a 625 are different than the 475 so the trim files for the injectors in that engine are not compatible with the 625 file. Or possibly if you renter the trim files from the disk it will take them. posibly because the ecm knows the injectors are different from 475 to 625 so it will not let the same files be loaded into the same cylinders on ecm replacement because it knows they should be different. I am not sure on this it is just some thoughts. Keep us posted i would like to know the outcome.

Depending on the flash file it will be looking for Injector Trim files with a certain ETrim Lock Version

So one Flash file may want ETrim Lock Version>0100 and another Flash file may want ETrim Lock Version>0300 for example....
As such wrong ETrim Lock Version and the ECM wont accept.

To work it out I would need to know the original flash file number and the new Flash file number.

I had a problem re-rating an MXS from a 475 to a 625. File would work but it kept throwing error codes.Everything worked . After awhile i tried a newer file and it solved the problem. Doesnt seem to matter on 40 and 70 pins. But the other day i had same problem.I used a file with a higher flas file # .Problem solved. Not sure if this is you problem, SDP is much newer.but i would try a file with a higher flash number. Jus tryin to help

1st Injectors are identical so you should not have dramas there with Trim Files unless your ET is a early Version.

2nd Interloc codes for 3484755 = 150
3rd Interloc Code for 3435766 = 163

3484755 >> 3484767 >> 3651182

3484755 >> 3651170

Your Original engine SDP16218 was Factory Dyno'd to 525HP 22-4-2008 Flash file # 3263660.. So I assume it was de-rated after leaving the factory.

In short apart from wrong turbo's a flash update to the 625 file and then change the interlock code would suffice.

As for your trim files... using the correct version of ET and coms adaptor should resolve that issue or simply read the trim files from ET download them and re-flash them.

I also do alot of electrical. Flashing, change all
paramaters, I know everything to do with an E-
model injector from the best trim codes, to how
to make every hole flow the same amount of fuel.
I also have access daily to a dyno to prove my work...

625 hp flash files have different base engine timing, when used in lower hp engines often will be lazy and use more fuel, power problems in mxs and nxs engines can be solved with different fls/fts numbers. Sdp will probably face plug the dpf or crack the filter due to timing difference
