needing a bit of help here as I'm getting ~~~~ all from QNAP
at the moment I'm using a buffalo NAS drive as an audio server, which works a treat, but I'm 5 gig away from filling it.
so i've acquired a QNAP TS209 pro for my services (don't ask....)
I'm looking to set it up as a linear drive so i can have 1 tb of storage (it's a 2 drive unit)
but any time i try and map the drive it only say in 'my computer' that the total size is 465 gig not 900 odds...

i've attached the drive page if it helps

need to get this sorted soon, i've been 4 days without music and not liking it...
any help will be greatly appreciated

If its anything like mine, you need to run software that comes with the unit for it to set it up and eneble the linear bit.

Qnap D/L's (http://www.qnap.com/download_detail.asp?pl1=download.asp%3Fpl%3D1&p_mn=TS-209+Pro&Keypl=1&pl=1&ct_name=Latest)

thanks bigMall, i eventually got it...
i removed both HDD and formatted them on my desktop,
put it all back together and it worked (after a 2day showdown)

you would think that the software installed on the QNAP would be able to do that though
