For UPA USB and 60HC908AZ60,
if only EEPROM, yes. FLASH, no.
My mistake, may be Flash can be programmed too.

All memory which is the Flash memory of erasable/programmable type of HC'9'08 included. UPA does not support programming this area to some other 908s but should do to the 60HC908AZ60 when the 'all memory' is selected and the 'program' button comes up. (Thus my upper mistake, never try, good to try now)

Depends what you are trying to do, you will need to power it in circuit if you do or get an etl programmer.

If the job is changing to the new MCU I think UPA cannot help you. I did last night to see how the programmer work with the Flash area, it returned lots and lots of errors (I means to the Flash). ETL will help.

I have used UPA-USB to read/write the eeprom, but it has never read the flash correctly for me and for sure cannot program the flash.
