China MVCI trouble

Hello.

Got an MVCI from China, working good. BUT! After last online update to 1.4.7 firmware (flash was successfull) it does not work anymore. Techstream does not connect to VIM, and it is no firmware version in the info about the device on the XHorse firmware update tool. It can be reflashed to version 1.4.7 again, but it does not help - firmware version still missing after flashing. Dont know what to do.

Go to setup option of tis (vim select) and choose your interface type .You have vim selected now ! Not mvci .
And do not forget closed firmware utility before using tis .

Does not help. X-Horse MVCI choosed from the list. Driver were closed. Still no connection to device. Maybe enyone have *.mfu file for offline update?

I hear about this problem with 1.4.7. Try back to older firmware.

I have old firmware on my work, but i will be there only 8 november. If you cant find old firmware before i go work then PM me, i send you file.

Yes, me too. Problem were solved by manual firmware update to 1.4.7 using *.mfu file, i got from my seller. Driver 1.4.8 were installed after, and work with Honda worse than 1.4.6.

It doesnt matter, what driver you have. It,s just china crap and it works chaotically. Connection is easy to loose aswell. Have tried all drivers and techstreams from 4 to 7.
Best result you get, when you try latest techstream. Like v7.
And you cannot do reprogramming ecu and customize settings.

Real mvci cost about 400 USD and can make reprogram an so other .But cheap clone it is just box with 10 % of really function .As i know genuine provider do not support mvci now .
Only clone for sale .

FINALLY IT WORKS!!!

Basically what you need to do flash the memory manually, using the ARM's software.

MY PROBLEM: I briked my china mvci device after using the Firmware udpdate tool, changing the firm. version from 1.4.1 (default) to 1.4.7

MY SETUP: Windows 8.1 64 bits.

SOLUTION:
STEP 1: Download the hex file attached.
STEP 2: Download Flash Magic (my version is 12.80 - build 5762)http://www.flashmagictool.com/download.html&d=flashmagic
STEP 3: Connect the mvci device to an USB port
STEP 4: Open Flash Magic, select LPC2119 (LPC2000) in the field device
STEP 5: Select the serial port: my serial port was COM3, try to remove the mvci device and plug it again to see if the FlashMagin detects the COM port automatically (maybe is better to remove all others USB devices during the process (my case))
STEP 6: Baud-rate: I selected 4800, but maybe other (higher) can provide a fast flashing.
STEP 7: In the Firmware panel update the .hex file.
STEP 8: Press the giant button START. The flashing should start, it takes a while (20 min aprox. for me)
STEP 9: When Fash Magin get out of the busy state, the process is finished, close the software and remove the device of USB port.

To confirm that it was restored to 1.4.1 version open the HDS driver Firmware Update tools and check the firmware version.
