Hi Everyone,

Just got the basics (dm500v8 & 80cm dish) to start my new hobby.

Just want to know which sats we are able to recieve in the UK (other than the usual ones)

i.e whats the furthest Satellite you've managed to get a signal from?

Cheers

great site SatBeams - Satellite Coverage Maps - Sat Footprint Intelsat 10-02 (Intelsat 1002, Intelsat Alpha-2, Intelsat X-02) / Thor 5 (Thor 2R) / Thor 6 (http://www.satbeams.com/footprints)

My set up is limited to 45E and 30W... I get a good lock on all.. not all the channels are available due to dish size and spot beam..

Ah ok,

Where abouts you located and what size dish you using?
Can you get any of the Asian channels on Intel Sat 12 for example?

No mate.. they are on the Indian spot beam.. you'd need a massive dish for that..
