If i partition a third of my hdd to be recognised by linux on my PS3 OS, will i only be able to download files from my PS3 linux unto that portion of my HDD. Will windows on my pc not recognise the linux portion of my HDD? :hmmmm2:Thanks in advance for replies.

I'm not entirely clear what you are wanting to do but I think that if you stick a disk with anything on that is not PS3 into the PS3 then the PS3 will reformat it.

Hi clem58,
I haven't PS3... But I think if you format your HDD in with ext3, it will read / write on it.
You can explore an ext3 hdd on windows with chrysocome.net - Explore2fs (http://www.chrysocome.net/explore2fs)
