Hallo guys.. i have here an old E34 .. where the engine was changed .. and now the car dont start any more..

the starter turns but it gets no start fire...

i read the car with gt-1 but no errors in the engine..

we also tried to change the ECU to a used one..

the Key is not original one.. it is from SILKA ..

and here is my question.. does that car has IMMO ?

because there is no EWS in the diagnostics.. but if key is from SILKA then there must be transponder inside...

VIN: WBAHC210603518453

If his car has immo where could i find it?

and what sollution are there.. immo off ? or make new key?

thx for your help

This car (with M20 engine) does not have the immo.
And the key is there like a screwdriver :)

look in live data and see the rpm signal while you crank the engine 100-350 RPM

if you dont see it check the crank sensor , also make sure the toothed wheel is the same as the old one .

Make sure you didn't switch connectors for the rpm and TDC, with the key on there should be 5V on the signal wire, sensor will toggle it to 0V when cranking.

remove instrumen cluster and remote module in window drive.
star the car

Can you please explain why to do that procedure?

and where the remote module is located? is window drive the location ?

When i look at the values when i star the car it does not show anything just stars... in every value.. i suppose the car is too old to show the live data in the star process...

but what is realy strange is that the engine has no errors.. that can not be...

Hi , mabe some thing is not right with the scanner , charge car battery and check again , also you can try with another scanner .

i check that model with x431 and get live data , so look again .

This "bicycle" does not need any scanner for start engine:)
Check the spark and fuel pressure first.

Hi it sounds like crank sensor or you have a airleak in your inlet system ,these cars were prone for not starting when there is a brake in any vacuum hoses!!!

Strange thing is that that car had spark .. one time.. then next time spark was gone...

Car came to workshop to change engine... it drove to the workshop...

after the engine was changed the car cant start..

I will try the crancksensor.. thx guy for the help will let you know what it was as soon as problem is solved...

hi, set your meter to AC volts and connect to the two pins to crank sensor pins , now crank engine you will see voltage rise and fall .

if this is ok , then check the toothed wheel to make sure the spec is the same .
as the old one .

Also...
You can easily solve the problem if you have el. scheme in your hand. Almost certainly the signal from the pulse generator to the motor shaft to avoid the DME, or DME does not work due to an error in the installation, if it is started, petrol pump and the pressure is okay.
I would first check the fuel supply, then a spark, and if everytging is ok, then the engine starts.
