Do i need to solder back to do this or off board since i desoldered already. If you have a pix, it will be appreciated
Is this with xprog-m?

I have UPA too but am always scared stiff to use it as have heard it can destroy chips. Can you assist me further with details, a live pix would be most welcome

Sogaro if you are using X-progM try to read it as secure chip (don't worry about the mask).

I tried this and for about 15 minutes , the green light kept flashing so i disconnected it. will try to clean the pins and retry

I read that kind of MCU with upa-usb using quartz from 4MHz to 20MHz (I was testing a little), while xprog-m requires 8MHz quartz. Using other resonator values I was unable to read it.
Regarding this kind of MCU, upa-usb seems to be more flexible...

DONE at last, you guys are wonderful. I eventually read dump with XPROG-T without stress...............just simply done.

Hi pal for the record, i can always make it work using some crystal of 4mhz and in paralell with i some 10Mohm resistor. and works wonderfull.
