Excavators are unimaginably strong creatures. The secret of the strength is the hydraulic cylinders, which is the driving force of digging the soil or carrying heavy loads.
Each working components, the arms, the booms and the buckets, are moved by the expanding or contracting of the cylinder from the oil pressure in the internal pumps. In doing so, applying about 350kg of pressure causes the cylinder to move with a pressure of an unbelievable 15 tons.
Excavators thus operate on this mechanism where a small amount of power becomes a great force.
