Hello, hope I'm writting in the right forum. Here's the problem: Just swapped audi a3 1.9TDI (AHF) engine into audi coupe b3. wired up, but can't get the VCDS connected directly to the ecu's CAN bus. As I analised the circuits ecu is communicating with abs module through CAN bus and then abs communicates with diagnostics connector.I have tried an instrument cluster with CAN support, but no luck... Is the abs control module the last thing to make the communication with the ecu?
Thank you for your anwsers

Thank you for your anwsersCan in this ecu is not for diagnostics... try the older cables (like 3.11 4.02 etc) and you will have luck with KKL Interface!

you can do it with 805 cable two....
If you have edc15 (038906012xy)(120pin connector):

if you have msa15(038906018xy/038906021xy) (80 pin connector)
same obd as above with ecu:
GND Pin 1 und 27
+12V Pin 2, 28, Pin 33
Pin 45 K-Line

Thak you, don't have the ecu near by, but I analized the pinout of the ecu acording to your instructions and here what I get:
pin 16 - goes to instrument cluster named as W-wire
pin 45 - goes to cruise control switch
Or I'm missing something? :/
