Hy! I removed EIS(key module) from the car than put it back and key won't turn! Steering wheel blocked... Need to virginize EIS?
The car is MB w209 2004, clk 200! It is possible that the car forget the keys if you only remove the key module? Thanks in advance!:)

I am confused a little bit... it is possible that the eis forget the key if you disconnect the cables? because it was ok before!

for what reason you remove the EIS module
if the car was running ?
if all was ok before check first front SAM fuses
may be you made some shortcuts
check with star diag if there is connection with EIS
and report faults
if no connection check with tester +12Vpermanent ,+12V ignit, GND .
if one of these wires is not present EIS no work
check connection wires between EIS and EVL

in EIS ( bleu connector )

the car was taken to carwash and cleared inside... and since then the car stops randomly and the display shows: " Display faulty"! And the car won't start, central locking not working also only after some time! Won't start even if I remove the display, a lot of CAN error codes stored in some modules! EIS removed because I think the problem is there, because when the error shows up engine not start, central locking not working from key so looks like EIS is'nt recognise the key.. The other problem solved, i can start the car now, it was an 5amp fuse!! But the old problem is present...
I am sure that is a CAN communication error...

Check and dry out door and seat ecu under front seats, they don't like being valeted, Also check drains in heater box under bonnet, they fill up with rainwater and it overflows through heater N/S and under carpet into same Ecu under left seat.

cool cammy:congrats:
for all beginners is benz maintenance
if keys no work , dont go directly to attack EIS
check before fornt SAM , batery 12 V enough , star diag
when you are sur about EIS then ou can open at your risk

for you case for the CAN problem
under carpet feet driver side
remove cover you will find green connectors for CAN bus
CAN high and CAN low green and green/white wires
when dry you will find some acid
remove all connector and clean with thiner
report result
