MB WIS won't fully start

Hi All,

I have a bit of a problem.

Got original C3 Star tablet and trying to install software as on C4. All works fine except WIS stanalone. Trying to install 10.2010 Full.

I have successfuly install WIS on many other computers but this one is resistant.

Also tried older version of WIS (7.2010 and update to 9.2010) no luck.

Symtom i get is that it installs fine, tablet restarts and then when i try to run it, it starts with little window showing loading progress and gets stuck at 100% and thats it!

No further action.

In taskman i can see all three processes running (2x tbkern32.exe and javaw.exe)

License key is good as i got it from this forum.

Anyonne experienced similar problem?

Any sugestions as for cure?

You can try and ONLY AS TEST (i advice you) to make this "Trick":

Rename on your Registry from COMPACT2 ---> COMPACT4 and then try to run WIS Standalone and see what happening... ;)

Logically WIS now it will working!!! :)

Your problem with this "Trick" now, your Appid and your Xentry... :devil:

For this reason i mentioning this "Trick" ONLY as TEST!!! :)

Then you can roll back your Original details in your Registry...

The only thing is that i have COMPACT4 in reg already.

Hardware is genuine Compact3 machine but i've done whole software as Compact4.

I'm trying to install WIS Standalone.

I installed EPC-net and this is working fine no matter what. I have to install Standalone as i need it in DAS and Xentry (as we all know how useful it is).

As for Java bar time, i was waiting for good 30min before closing it. Both tbkern32.exe processes are starting as usual (one during java loading and the second one starts when progress bar reaches 100%)

I installed EPC-net and this is working fine no matter what. I have to install Standalone as i need it in DAS and Xentry (as we all know how useful it is).

Also IF you did not have installed Java Version 20, I REPEAT Version 20, install her and after you finish the installation go on Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Security > Mixed Code and Choose:
enable - hide warning and run with protections

Then Reboot your C3 and try again to run WIS and Feedback... :)

It was nasty malware called Ramnit. That was messing up whole stuff. Almost lost my archive because of this. Luckily Spyware Doctor sorted it out.

I have installed all from scratch and it's all working now with temporary keys.

Would you be able to generate me a "proper" keys?

YES!!! Xentry & WIS/ASRA they having PERFECT communication, BUT you need to installing WIS/ASRA in Standalone "Type"... ;)

Hi,

I'm having almost the same problem and i'm becoming desperate.

I have installed WIS 11/10 standalone in about 10 different ways and still it does not work. Same as Daniel (etronic2) it stays at 100% and thats it.

I have a IBM T30 80GB HDD and with original cd's i get this.(see attachment)


When i use the 'sdinst' folder from WIS 04/10 it hangs at 100% when i start WIS

it's originaly installed as COMPACT 3
I've tried the TRICK with COMPACT4 and 2 ----->nothing.
Made 2 diffirent keys -----> nothing
Installed from mounted images -----> nothing
Deleted all the keys and made a fresh install -----> nothing

Your problem is that Windows does not boot because it was installed for another computer with different HDD drivers. There are solutions for this but the easiest option would only work if you have a compatible computer to run the drive first.

Even after this you would have to change a number of device drivers to match your current computer.

Didn't your supplier tell the laptop type the HDD was intended for?

Another option is to install the SW with a bit of help from the guides at this forum.

Your error messages talks about EPC. Which WIS version are you installing, WIS NET Standalone is typically used with DAS. How did you start the update?

initiated the Install via EWA/ Sdinstall/ Setup, here also a screen of the different LanID in the WIS Installer. WIS 07/10 DAS 09/10 Where can I either remove or edit this ID? I tried different keys but to no avail.

I was finally able to to get running again without wiping my HD.
I needed to completely reinstall WISNET than the Standalone version.
It all worked perfect but on the 3rd startup I lost ASRA! The splash screen comes up when starting the Module but it doesn't get completely populated ie. it's not taking the VIN from WIS and there is no content. WIS, SSL, MSS is all working flawless, any IDEAS why ASRA might not work???? It seems to me as there is some database trouble.
