See your mate and get the exact model number of the Plasma. then you will need the part number of the board that needs replacing.

Right guy's, I've got a model no. took off the back of the tv and found this mod no PDP 42X20000 inside. On the back that I removed was LG ser no\ cep.no 409mavl- 46869. Looking at the screen it has loads of different colour's on the left half of screen and a thick blue line on the right (both vertical). It has been diagnosed as x & y sustain board/s by a repair man. He told my mate it would cost around 200 euro to supply and fit. Should I be looking for different number's or are these what ye need ?.
Thank's in advance. I did look at the link's I was given but I might as well be looking up a bear's ass. Maybe it's just out dated ?.

Is this the board no. 6871Q DH068A YDRVTP

42x2000 is the generation of panel; you should be looking for a number beginning 6870abcxxxx to identify the boards.

As an aside, it'll probably be an RZ-42PY10, or a 42PX5D which can only be described as ~~~~ing shite. The fault also sounds like Y drives having failed (probably due to a blown Y SUS). If the X board is out, you'll have a very milky faint washed out picture; so I'd leave that one alone and start with the Y first.

As you look at them on left hand side of tv, there are 2, top one has the top right corner cut off and the bottom one has the bottom right corner cut off, hope this make's sense to ya lol.

They are in stock, but you need to look for the 6870 number, rather than the 6871 on the sticker in this case

It'll be QDH/QFH.

I hate diagnosing plasmas; they're a nightmare. Especially these old LGs, they have some weird failure modes...

Sorry for being thick mate lol.

I always replace the Y SUS and the DRVs together, as the only thing that can burn a DRV is a bad SUS board; I actually think it's cheaper to buy them seperately you know looking at the site :)

There are other faults that can cause the trouble you're escribing, but that's in addition to what I know to be up with your set...
