Passat B6 Alarm

Dear All,

pls help me in this issue. I am mounting an alarm to a B6 Passat. Can I connect the alarm to a central lock computer or a CAN-BUS modul is needed for this?

Hi.

The safe and easy way is to connect a can-bus alarm. But you can also connect a plip alarm to receive information from drivers door lock.

You can connect each alarm.
Central brown or brown/green wire inside driver door.
For locking connect wire via resistance 800-1000 om to gnd
For unlocking connect wire direct to gnd.
But easy way is can-bas alarm.

I found the opening of the brown/green wire,
the problem was a closing , because by Passat B5,
I had to use 180 Ohm resistor , but it's did not working here

You have to activate central door locking via drivers door with long coding on VCDS. you can also activate timed comfort function so it can close windows with longer signal. then just feed ground to lock at position 13, in the 20 way black connector of the power window unit inside drivers door. to unlock just insert resistor 180 ohm with ground.

I decided at Can Bus Module ,I connected to OBD CAN wire but it didnt work ,
than I tried to connect to drivers door CAN wire , but it does not work

What can I do now , please HELP :hmmmm2:

did you inserted code for vw passat B6 in your can bus alarm? without that it wont work.
see attached pdf, contains wiring location and i can guarantee it works because i installed several that way.:wink:

hi, yes I inserted code in can bus modul with usb cable,
but it did not work, I will try to connect , like described in the pdf
