Dear Group.

Can anyone give me some feedback please, I recently bought one of these X5 programmers http://www.programtec.com/english/products/SmartPROx5.asp

This programmer is driving me mad with 29F200 parts.

I can read any already programmed part and the check sum is the same every time.. This is the good bit.

I can't erase any all ready programmed 29F200 flash parts.
I have tried programming some new 29F200AB & BB parts, but the check sum changes when the part is read back :(

I hope some one is going to say its the user or a duff unit, I'm thinking I have bought a PUP :(

Any feedback would be appreciated about this programmer.

Best Regards

Darwins...

Can I ask a Programming GURU for some help please.

Is it possible that a buffer can change when programmed to a 29F200BB ?

Or is this a programmer issue?

Below is a couple of images, If I change the buffer to C0 at address 8000 it programs good, But when programmed as FF it changes to C0 ?

Thanks for reading.

Darwins.

Check device option, maybe protected enable.
Disable sector protected.

Hi

I have tried this but the write still changes at that address.

I have identified that this write fault is not the X5 based on another Willem doing the same at the same address, Unless they both have a software gremlin.

Im going to have another play with this when I get a chance with my new DataMan 48Pro+ which has just arrived :marchmellow:

Thanks again
