I've got 2 sbb clones, one a couple of years old which updated to 32.02 ok after connecting pins 7-8 to write protect the 24c16, that has now updated to 33.1 ok.

I got another with a black case 'new 2010' model was on 32.01 fails on comms and wont update.. made my mind up which one I'm going to get rid of for me :)

the sbb is a Seiko S24CS16 home for programming must be

connects pin 7 to ground to remove the protection (see datasheet)

CK 100 is updated SBB, version 45.09 is best, SBB stopped at 33.02 anyway.CK 100 is much better quality hardware in my opinion.
