2007 corsa-d vxr, fuel guage was reading erratically and needles noisey on first sweep after ignition switched on.new instrument assembly purchased from the vauxhall main stealer, they fitted to car and then announced it was faulty!.wouldn't program.I have checked with opcom (latest china clone version)code index, chassis number and low speed can are all configured and no codes stored but mileage is still set at zero miles, can the latest opcom program the mileage on this car or do you think they have programmed with tech 2 and forgot to fill in the mileage before pressing program which i believe you can only do once.i got involved after this had kicked off,the part was purchased from one vauxhall stealer but went to another one cause they couldn't do the job for three weeks!the stealer that fitted the instrument want to charge us for another one until it proves the old one is faulty, sounds suspect to me,any thoughts?

under the circumdtanses, would be inclinded to

1) Contact Mr Vauxhall At Griffin house - call him a coont
2) Purchase a pre-enjoyed set of clocks off ebay and

1) Swap fuel gague motor over
2) *THINK* - SEarch the 'milage INcorrection' threads swap over the M35080
or 24C01 whatever.

Did they try to put an SPS on the old clocks? As there is a software update specifically to deal with the inaccurate fuel gauge.

And yes, the mileage needs programming in with tech2. Latest opcom coverage for the Corsa D is pretty poor for programming so I doubt you'll be able to do it with that. Or, you could just swap the EEPROM with your old clocks.

Bear in mind, the motors in the clocks are fairly noisy, this isn't a fault, it's just how they are (I have taken a LOT of Corsa, Astra etc. etc. clocks apart).

Service Programming System.

This updates the software of modules on the car to fix bugs etc. and is part of the TIS programme that all Vauxhall dealers have.

I am sure I heard that there was a specific update for the clocks as the fuel gauge being all over the place is a common fault down to a software bug.
