What about installation? Which tools / guide to use to install this version?

By the way I think it would be great if someone who has installed DAS and Xentry 11.2010 on a VmWare machine uploads the image. In this way everyone can use the VmWare Player and will have DAS and Xentry already installed.
If noone finds time (or goodwill) to do so I will do this as soon as I manage to install this version.

Make sure you ask Admin if you decide to post it here.
It will be considered as software, then you will be taking a long holiday.

On the surface nothing appears to have changed regarding the installation from a non VM point of view.The 9.2010 mod appears to still work, so the Zolookas guide for 9.2010 should still apply.I have done it manually and have not used any guide but others can probably confirm this

According to DAS 11-2010 news, from 01-2011 DAS will not be able to be run directly from shortcut but have to be from Xentry.

yes this is written already in the last 2 versions on one of the startscreens of DAS - DAS can only be run out of Xentry -

I think you are partially right...till now you got that DAS icon on your desktop which can be edited somehow to be able to run CARS from that icon and with DAS.
But ...from now on...looks like that icon will dissaper completly ! If we will be able to start our DAS directly from the .exe file we will see. However it looks like from now on it will be just one key which should be used to enable Xentry and from that point we will be able to run DAS but only from inside XENTRY.
We will wait and see what the next move will be ! :)

I think it will be, the fact that they state that DAS will will no longer run as standalone & only through Xentry would mean that the Xentry key in the future will contain Das information regarding it's configuration.So the old structure of they key would be changed to accomodate das.

I don't believe so, the first 68 characters of the current key dont appear to play any significant role.You can see this yourself by generation multiple keys for the same HwID,AppID & dates only a portion of it remains constant which contains the specific information regarding how xentry will run.So they could implement the Das configuration in the first portion of the key even possibley mixing it up so that it is completely different from the previous one so that the old keys are made obselete and are no longer valid

Yes I think you are right again...because the note states that Xentry keys (only Xentry keys! ) can be requested on regular channels.
This somehow doesn't look so good but for sure somebody will beat them again !

Probably it means that you should fill the empty folders inside the prototyp folder with ZIP archives contents which is in the same place.

I have the lastest version of DAS 11.2010 but when I'm trying to program a unit it ask me for a password ,Can you help me with this,

Might not be the best place to put this, but alas it was my last resort >_<!

I need some help, after i had done my install of Das 11-10 i could not get rid of the default password or disable the auto login to the star account, i have already done regedit and deleted and modified parameters within, and also have gone with third party solutions.

every time i disable or erase the admin password and auto login, on next reboot it sends a error message mentioning that the password is incorrect and it can become quite a frustration hearing that beep every time i turn on my pc to diagnose a car.

note: i have two admin accounts, one for das other for a multi scan tool and want to be able to log off das account and get into my secondary account.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is really OOT ..:)
if you can go to the secondary account, type this in the 'run' command box:

control userpasswords2 => tick "Users must enter a user name & password to use this computer"
then goto Administrators account => reset password
goto Star => reset password

un-tick "Users must enter a user name & password to use this computer" if you want to autologin to Star

log off & restart again

Thank you for the help mate, i have already done this procedure and no luck... it seems like my registry is some how regaining the parameters that i have modified and regardless of what i do it always resets it self back to "normal" properties....

once again thank you for your reply, ill keep trying untill i can get this fixed.
