Hi, I have a problem with a Mercedes Sprinter 515cdi 906model , OM646 engine EuroIV, with Automatic transmission.

Scenario as follows:
1) In 'D' or 'R' mode, Airconditioning ON, idle speed drops from 950rpm to 400-500rpm, at times engine almost shuts off.
2) In 'D' or 'R' mode, Airconditioning OFF, idle speed is stable at 950rpm.
3) In 'N' or 'P' mode, Airconditioning OFF, idle speed is stable at 950rpm.
4) In 'N' or 'P' mode, Airconditioning ON, idle speed is stable at 950rpm.

I have perform the alternator test in DAS, it seems to suggest that the alternator is faulty.
Manually forcing it to charge to 14.5V causes rpm to drop to 400-500rpm (with A/C ON , Gear engaged), while turning off the alternator charge ( remain at 11.5V ), results in a stable idle rpm.

On a side note, I tried looking around in DAS, but could not find any option to adjust the idling speed higher (ala Cummins Insite). Is there even such an option?

Any help would be appreciated.
