Have a niggly problem with Samsung LE40R87BD that I've had for about 3 years now.

Sometimes when I switch the TV on from standby, the internal freeview tuner reports no signal. Switching it off and on again cures the problem but sometimes it can take 3 or 4 attempts to get it to work properly.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Common problem with Samsungs fitted with the 00813x main AV board. Needs a trip into the engineers menu to carry out a system reset.

Easy enough to get into the service menu (from standby, on remote control press info->menu->mute->power on)

NB PLEASE SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP IF YOU'RE NOT CONFIDENT DOING THIS. THERE ARE SETTINGS IN THIS MENU THAT CAN RENDER THE TV INOPERATIVE!
