any ideas why my renault van is making a wierd noise when setting off through 1st and 2nd the only way i can describe it is its like the sound a milk float and it can be a bit stiff selecting 1st gear from neutral, could it be the clutch going althoughit doesnt seem to be slipping? its on a 04 plate and done 49500 miles, cheers:hmmmm2:

If it is only between gear changes it could be clutch, just try to rev it up when van is not moving. It might be some coolant circulation noise in heater matrix.

1st thing to do is get the gearbox oil level checked

Hi
The Gear Box bearings are common faults on them you can get a repair kit for them at the dealers, also make sure you get a Very good experience person who knows his job to do this job as they are very problem-full gearbox.
I Hope you understand what I mean to say.
Good Luck
