Dear Group.

Can I ask for some help please.

I will shortly be recieving this M1.1.5 (Part: 0 261 204 948) ECU.

I need to reset to virgin state which I plan to do using Otto Check & Galleto on the bench.

Im looking for info reference "BOOT MODE" I have asked question to the supplier of my Galletto & Otto but Im still with out a plan.

I have searched here but not found much concrete.

I bought this Galletto 18 months ago Car diagnostic tools, Chip Programmers and Diagnostic Interfaces - Telwis Poland - Galletto Chip Tuning (http://www.telwis.pl/chip-tuning-galletto-obd2-c-33_59.html?osCsid=eebd9fc85bb1eb978e367640cd27d9dc ) I have used it for some Vauxhall applications but not much else, Telwis suggested that this ECU can not be reset, so is it a case their interface won't do it or are they just sales men, who don't know. :)

I took the image below from CD supplied with the Galletto.

The translation from Italian to English is not helping me to much, But it looks like 12V needs to be applied to PIN 10 when writting ?

Has anyone done one of these on the bench?
Any help Pin out info or procedure would be great, please feel free to IM me if you prefer.

Kind Regards

Hi Kasim,

this is an interrested solution.

I have one of those ecu?s in front of me, and i will try to read this ecu.

Tell me,
what kind of Soft you are using for reading this Ecu ??

I`m using Genius, and there is no option for reading this ecu.

Hi Kasim

Thank you for this info.

I have checked wiring against ESI and these look to be the main powers and earths.

Galletto:

Pin 16 = 12V ignition on

Pin 4 & 5 = Earth

Pin 7 = ECU Pin 11 (Block A)

ECU:

ECU CASE = Earth

18 (A) = 12v (Terminal 30)

9 (A) = K1 Main Relay (Earth Pull Main Relay

3 (A) = K2 Fuel Pump Relay

8 (A) = 12v (Terminal 15)

7 & 17 (A) = 12V (From Main Relay)

Do you have connection used on bench to hand?

is 12 Volts to pin 10 and the earth to board for boot mode used when writting back only?

Many Thanks again.

Is the boot earth point accessed by removing the tin plate on the rear?

Or the plastic front end removed?

I guess this is filled with GEL, is this harmfull to us humans? :)

Cheers

Lesson 1: :)

Wanted to get a closer view of the pad to earth out, and in the process dragged the wires away from the chip with the gel covering (Below)

Now looking for another ECU, this time I will be probing through the GEL on the pad edge outlined.

I can't magnify better than the picture attached so I have no idea where these hair like wires go.

After "boot mode" when the earth probe has been removed is the ECU wiped blank?
Or set to a state ready to accept a full BIN with the immobiliser data changed ?

Hi kasim & Group.

I have another ECU.

Not sure what Im doing wrong, had a look around but still Im missing something.

I can detect the ECU on the bench:

Bosch HW: 0261204948
Bosch SW: 1037352594
Fiat HW: 1037352594
ECU not coded
Max KM: 171497.01 km
Data progr.: 30-08-1999
Max Revs: 7160
Programmazioni: 7
Errori Crc: 0

I have tried reading in BOOT MODE and get this:

Bosch HW: 0261204948
Bosch SW: 1037352594
Fiat HW: 1037352594
ECU not coded
Max KM: 0.00 km
Data progr.: 00-00-0000
Max Revs: 0
Programmazioni: 1
Errori Crc: 0

I need some help reading the ECU and saving the file to be decoded, Read option is blanked out so I have some thing wrong or is this my software version?

Or does anyone have a file which I can write in BOOT MODE ?

Thanks

Hi,

i have to make this old thread alive

Yesterday i have shooted my second ECU from my Alfa by trying to read the flash without success.

I ?m looking around since weeks for a solution and no one give me some questions in this topic.

I bought me galletto programmer cause my other device wasn `t reading opel x10xe, so i thought this the solution and it wasn`t.

I have at least one working ecu to make some expirience and hope one of those guys who has it done can help me with his solution.

I?m still waiting for help,

Thanks in advance
