ive got sv1 but am looking to buy a new model wat is the difference between sv and eurovox , d box and anyother available ive rea the other threads and ke reading aout open source... what does this mean and how is it diferent from the sv cheers guys

There is really no more support for the new vox models and new s`view models. These boxes are closed source so you rely on the "source" to provide the fix. If you want a plug and play i would personally recommend an arnet box which is also closed source but at least its uk based.

open source are the linux based boxes such as the dreambox, dbox2 etc. Enthusiasts have access to the code so in terms of support they are head and shoulders above closed source boxes. Once you learn how to ftp (and its not difficult) the boxes are easy enough to flash etc.

My box of choice but others will have a different opinion.
