l thought as we had a lot of new members at the moment l would let u into a secret to why alot of us dont worry about how much ink we use

if because we use a ink system called ciss (Continuous Ink System)

http://i7.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/c0/c4/9083_2.JPG

these working on most epson printers . l use on a r256 that also prints to disc's

u can get the system for around 30 quid and some ebayer sell the printer and ink systems for around 80 quid ..

the ink that comes with the system has about 20 times the amount of ink a cartridge has if not more and the fills r around 12 quid a set of all the colours

you cant beat a cis,ive got one on my r285 ,when you get the message your out of ink, just turn printer off, leave a mo,back on and hey presto your full again

works out way way cheaper than buying compatible inks too

I bought some refillable cartridges and ink from an ebay seller for my R200. It is not messy to use and means I dont have a lump stuck to the side of my printer.

How good are these if you don't print regularly, do the heads get clogged up?

its swings and roundabouts I bought an epsom it lasted one month before the jets were jammmed up cheap cartrideges quarentee null and void sometimes tjhis happens I was told and sometimes you get away with it I was told by an expfert that epsom & HP are the most difficult inks to copy Needless to say I Have bought an HP C5280 which you can buy genuine cartridges with 4 times the amoun to fink in for the price of 2 Hope this all helps
You pay for what you get the photos are much better with genuine ink !!:party ::cheer:
